“Yard man” vs “professional”

A “yard man” or “grass man” is a non-technical laborer that is able to mow and clean up your yard and maybe do minor pruning and fertilizing projects. A “landscape maintenance man” (what I do) is a technically trained professional that understands the intermediates of keeping a yard in tact, of preventing and healing plant diseases, of doing some turf work and of pruning all of your plants up in tip-top shape. A “turf maintenance man” is a technically trained professional “grass man” who understands the dynamics of keeping your grass up to 100% throughout the year, and he or she can take your weed-infested jungle of a yard and make it into golf course greenery. Please understand the difference, and don’t label your professional worker a mere and lowly “yard man.”
